Getting Married in Dublin?
Planning your wedding in Dublin and looking for someone to create a ceremony that's personal, relaxed and completely right for the two of you?
I'd love to hear what you've got planned!
I'm Karen, a wedding celebrant and registered solemniser based in Dundalk, County Louth, and I regularly travel to neighbouring counties to conduct beautiful, personal wedding ceremonies.
North Dublin and the surrounding areas are particularly convenient for me, including places such as Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock, Skerries and Balbriggan.
Whether you're planning a lovely hotel wedding, a relaxed countryside celebration or something a little more intimate, I believe your ceremony should reflect who you are as a couple.
Perhaps you'd love something romantic and heartfelt, a few laughs along the way, or a lovely mixture of both.
We'll have a proper chat about your ideas, what matters to you and how you'd like your ceremony to feel.
I'll guide you through the options, write your ceremony personally and make sure you feel comfortable and confident about everything on the day.
And because I'm a registered solemniser, I can conduct legally recognised wedding ceremonies in the Republic of Ireland, so you can have your legal declarations and personal ceremony together.
Most importantly, I want your ceremony to be something you genuinely enjoy, surrounded by the people who matter most to you.
Some Lovely Places to Get Married in Dublin
Dublin has some beautiful wedding venues, particularly around the coast and in the lovely countryside beyond the city.
Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links is one I know personally, having had the pleasure of conducting a wedding ceremony there. With its beautiful coastal setting, sea views and elegant surroundings, it's a gorgeous choice for couples who love the idea of getting married by the coast.
I've also conducted a wedding ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle Resort, a magnificent historic estate with beautiful grounds and a wonderful sense of occasion. It's a particularly lovely setting for couples dreaming of a castle wedding.
Then there's Grand Hotel Malahide, another venue I'm familiar with, overlooking the beautiful Malahide estuary. With its coastal location and lovely surroundings, it's a great choice for couples planning a wedding in North Dublin.
There are plenty of other lovely options too, including Malahide Castle, Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan and Clontarf Castle Hotel, each offering something a little different.
Of course, you might already have somewhere else in mind, and that's absolutely fine too.
Whether you're planning a wedding by the sea, in a beautiful castle or at a lovely country hotel, I'd be delighted to help you create a ceremony that's relaxed, personal and completely right for the two of you.
Because wherever you choose to get married, your ceremony should feel like it belongs to you.
A Ceremony That Feels Like You
Your wedding ceremony should feel like the two of you, not something that's been written for a hundred other couples before you.
Whether you'd love something romantic and heartfelt, a relaxed ceremony with a few laughs, or a lovely mixture of both, we'll work together to create something that feels completely natural.
We'll have a proper chat about your ideas, the people who matter to you and anything special you'd like to include.
Perhaps you'd love a handfasting, a unity candle or a meaningful reading. Or maybe you'd prefer to keep things simple, with your vows and rings taking centre stage.
With over 30 years of hospitality experience, including more than 21 years looking after weddings at Ballymascanlon, I know how important it is for couples to feel comfortable, confident and well looked after.
I'll guide you through the planning, write your ceremony personally and make sure everything is carefully organised for the day itself.
And when the moment arrives, you can relax, enjoy it and concentrate on the person standing beside you.
That's exactly how it should be!
