Getting Married in
County Meath?
There's something lovely about conducting a wedding ceremony in a place you know so well, and County Meath is particularly close to my heart.
I grew up in Kells, so Meath isn't just another county on my list of places I travel to. It's somewhere I know, somewhere I've worked, and somewhere I've celebrated a few special occasions of my own!
From beautiful country houses and historic castles to relaxed, intimate venues, Meath has some wonderful places to get married.
And whether you're planning a big celebration with all your family and friends or something a little smaller, I'd love to help you create a ceremony that feels like you.
As a wedding celebrant and registered solemniser, I conduct personalised and legally recognised wedding ceremonies throughout County Meath.
And the best part?
You can have a ceremony that's romantic, meaningful, relaxed and even a little bit funny, if that's your style!
Some Lovely Places to Get Married in Meath
If you're looking for a wedding venue in County Meath, you're certainly spoiled for choice!
And having grown up in Kells and spent so many years working in hospitality, I've been lucky enough to get to know quite a few of them.
There's Boyne Hill House, where I actually got married myself, so that one will always have a special place in my heart. And having conducted wedding ceremonies there too, I can certainly understand why couples fall in love with it.
Then there's Clonabreany House, with its beautiful surroundings and lovely atmosphere. I've had the pleasure of conducting ceremonies there, and it's a wonderful setting for a wedding.
Bellinter House is another lovely venue where I've conducted ceremonies, while Ballymagarvey Village, Tankardstown House and Bettystown House are all wonderful options for couples planning their wedding in Meath.
And of course, there's Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, right in my hometown, along with Trim Castle Hotel, The Station House Hotel in Kilmessan and The Millhouse in Slane.
I've also got plenty of memories of working at venues such as The Newgrange Hotel and The Ardboyne Hotel, so Meath really does feel like familiar territory to me!
But whether you're getting married at one of these venues or somewhere completely different, I'd be delighted to hear what you're planning.
Because while I love a beautiful wedding venue, it's the two people getting married who make the ceremony special. ❤️
Your Wedding Ceremony, Your Way
One of the things I love most about being a wedding celebrant is that no two couples are the same, so why should their ceremonies be?
Some couples want something romantic and heartfelt, others prefer a relaxed ceremony with a bit of humour, and plenty want a little of both!
When you book me for your wedding in County Meath, we'll take the time to get to know each other. I'll listen to your ideas, talk you through your options and help you put together a ceremony that feels comfortable, natural and completely personal to you.
You might like to include a unity candle, handfasting or another symbolic ritual. Perhaps you'd love to share your story with your guests, involve your children or simply keep everything short and sweet.
There's no set formula, and you certainly don't have to include anything that doesn't feel right for you.
And because I'm a registered solemniser, I can also conduct your legal wedding ceremony in County Meath, so you can have the personal ceremony you want while taking care of the legal declarations too.
My job is to make the whole experience feel easy, enjoyable and well organised, so that when your wedding day arrives, you can relax and enjoy every minute.
A Little Experience
Goes a Long Way
After more than 30 years working in hospitality, including over 21 years at Ballymascanlon House Hotel, I've seen weddings from just about every angle!
From coordinating weddings to managing a busy hotel, I've learned that it's often the little things that make the biggest difference.
And I bring all that experience with me when I'm conducting your wedding ceremony.
I'll make sure everyone knows where they need to be, help settle any last-minute nerves and keep things running smoothly without making a big fuss about it.
Because the last thing you need on your wedding day is someone adding to the stress!
I want you to feel comfortable, confident and completely looked after, from our first chat right through to the moment you walk back down the aisle as a married couple.
