Getting Married in
County Armagh?

Planning your wedding in County Armagh?
Well, you're not too far from me at all!

I'm based in Dundalk, just a short distance from the border, so County Armagh is somewhere I'm always happy to travel to for a wedding ceremony.

And with some beautiful country estates, historic venues and lovely places to celebrate, there's plenty to choose from.

But wherever you've decided to get married, I believe your ceremony should be every bit as personal as the rest of your wedding day.

I'm Karen, a wedding celebrant and registered officiant, creating personalised wedding ceremonies for couples throughout County Armagh and across Northern Ireland.

Whether you're planning something romantic and heartfelt, a relaxed ceremony with a little humour, or a lovely mixture of both, we'll work together to create something that feels completely natural to you.

And if you're not quite sure what you'd like your ceremony to include, don't worry!

We'll have a proper chat, explore your ideas and work out what suits the two of you.

I can also conduct legally recognised wedding ceremonies in Northern Ireland, and I'll guide you through the relevant legal requirements so you know exactly what's involved.

Because your ceremony should be something you look forward to, not another thing to worry about!

Some Lovely Places to Get Married in Armagh

County Armagh has some fabulous wedding venues, and there's a lovely variety depending on the kind of celebration you're planning.

Killeavy Castle Estate, near Newry, is a beautiful setting, with its historic castle, countryside surroundings and plenty of character.

Then there's Gracehall near Lurgan, a gorgeous country manor with beautiful gardens and an elegant setting for a wedding. And if you love the idea of something a little more relaxed and rustic, Riverdale Barn is another lovely option, with plenty of scope to make the day your own.

Brownlow Castle, also known as Brownlow House, in Lurgan is another venue worth exploring. With its impressive architecture and historic surroundings, it certainly makes an impression!

For couples who prefer a hotel setting, there's Seagoe Hotel in Portadown and Armagh City Hotel, both offering lovely spaces for wedding celebrations.

But wherever you've chosen to get married, whether it's a grand castle, a relaxed barn or somewhere completely different, I'd love to help you create a ceremony that feels personal, comfortable and completely right for the two of you.

Because the venue might be what first catches your eye, but it's your ceremony that makes the occasion truly yours.

Your Wedding Ceremony, Your Way

One of the loveliest things about a wedding ceremony is that no two couples are the same, so why should their ceremonies be?

Some couples want something romantic and heartfelt. Others love a little humour, a few laughs and a ceremony that feels relaxed from beginning to end. And plenty want a bit of everything!

That's where I come in.

We'll have a proper chat about the two of you, what matters to you and how you'd like your ceremony to feel.

You might want to include a handfasting, a unity candle or a special moment involving your family. Or you might prefer to keep things beautifully simple, with just your vows, rings and the people you love around you.

There's no set formula, and I'll never try to squeeze you into a ceremony that doesn't feel like you.

I'll guide you through the options, help you make those decisions and write a ceremony that's personal to you both.

And on the day itself? You can relax, enjoy the moment and leave the ceremony in my hands.

A Familiar Face and a Steady Pair of Hands

I've spent over 30 years working in hospitality, including more than 21 years at Ballymascanlon, where I worked as Wedding Coordinator before becoming General Manager.

So I've seen weddings from just about every angle, and I know how much thought, time and effort goes into planning one!

That experience has taught me a thing or two about keeping everyone calm, thinking on my feet and making sure the little details are looked after.

These days, as a wedding celebrant and registered solemniser, I get to concentrate on one of my favourite parts of the wedding day — the ceremony itself.

And while I'll always make sure everything is organised and runs smoothly, I also want you to feel completely comfortable with me.

Whether you're getting married in County Armagh or elsewhere in Northern Ireland, you'll have someone beside you who knows weddings, genuinely cares about getting things right and will make sure you feel guided and looked after from the very beginning.
