Personalised Legal Wedding Ceremonies in Ireland
Your legal wedding ceremony doesn’t have to feel formal, restricted or impersonal. As a Registered Solemniser, I can conduct your legal wedding ceremony in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, while giving you the freedom to make the ceremony personal to you. We’ll include everything legally required, but around that there is plenty of room for your story, your own vows, readings, music, family involvement and symbolic elements if you would like them. I work with couples of all backgrounds and beliefs, including couples of mixed faith or no faith, and every ceremony is written for the couple in front of me.

How the Legal Process Works
Step-by-step support - from notice to “I do” Booking your legal wedding ceremony with Timeless Ceremonies means you’ll have clear guidance every step of the way. I’ll guide you through the legal requirements in Ireland helping you understand the paperwork, timelines and official steps needed to make your marriage legally binding. Here’s how it works: Giving Notice - In the Republic of Ireland, couples must give a minimum of three months’ notice to the HSE Registrar of Marriages. I’ll provide clear guidance on which forms to complete, what documents you’ll need and when to submit them. Registrar Appointment - You’ll attend an appointment in person to present identification, proof of address and details of your chosen solemniser. Once approved, the registrar issues your Marriage Registration Form (MRF) - the official document that makes your wedding legal. The Ceremony - On the day, you and your witnesses sign the MRF during the ceremony and will then have to return it within the specified time period to the registrar to register your marriage. Marriage Certificate - After registration, you can request your marriage certificate from the civil registrar’s office and this is your official record of your marriage. Every couple’s circumstances are unique so I tailor my guidance to you. Whether you’re marrying across borders, renewing a postponed ceremony or blending faiths and cultures, you’ll have clear, friendly support every step of the way.

Your Ceremony, Your Way
There are certain words and legal requirements that must be included in a legal wedding ceremony, but they don't have to take over the ceremony. Around those legal elements, we can create something that sounds and feels like you. You might choose to include: • your story • personal vows • readings or music • family or friends • symbolic elements such as handfasting, a Unity Candle or Ring Warming Or you can keep everything beautifully simple. There is no requirement to add anything just for the sake of it. The important thing is that when you're standing there on the day, the ceremony feels right for the two of you.

We were fortunate to meet Karen at a wedding fair a couple of months before our wedding. Karen was absolutely amazing, we couldn't have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding. From the very beginning she was incredibly easy to deal with, always approachable.
